(02) Questions

Common questions.

Do I need to pay the ICO data protection fee?

Most businesses that process personal data electronically, including keeping customer details, must pay a small annual fee to the ICO unless an exemption applies. The ICO's self-assessment takes a few minutes.

Where can I get free employment advice?

Acas gives free, impartial advice on hiring, contracts, disciplinaries and disputes, by phone and online.

What if a customer will not pay?

Send a clear letter before action first. The Small Business Commissioner can help with late payment from larger businesses, and small claims can be made online through the courts.
